University Innovation Fellows Program (UIF)
The University Innovation Fellows is a program of Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) that aims to empower student leaders to become agents of change at their universities. If you are someone interested in helping other students to unlock their creative potential, develop a design-centered mindset, and gain the needed skills, attitudes, and knowledge to address current complex global challenges, then this program is the right fit for you. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Selected students will undergo a 6-week virtual training that will provide them with the right tools and resources to conduct an in-depth analysis of their campus ecosystem (in this case, UTEC). During this period, students will also learn how to define relevant problems, work in teams, overcome obstacles, and how to consider the needs of all types of users at the campus.
Upon completion of the training, the Fellows will receive mentorship support throughout one year, as well as opportunities to connect with other Fellows digitally, and be invited to participate in conferences and events. You will be part of a global network of like-minded students that learn from each-other and create collaborations across multiple institutions.
