TOEFL ITP

What is the TOEFL ITP®?

The TOEFL ITP® or Test of English as a Foreign Language – Institutional Testing Program is the simplified ‘paper’ version of the TOEFL IBT® (“Internet Base Test”).

This test evaluates non-native speakers’ English skills in Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension.

The TOEFL ITP® certificate is recognized internationally and is one of the most popular language evaluations in the world.

What is the TOEFL ITP® digital test?

It is the digitized version of the test that Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) as an authorized center to administer this test, offers you.

What skills does the TOEFL ITP® test measure?

The TOEFL ITP® test measures skills in the three following areas:

  • • Listening Comprehension skills are essential when communicating in face-to-face situations, meetings, videoconferences, podcasts and conversations over the phone in a professional context.
  • • Structure and Written Expression measure recognition of selected structural and grammatical points in standard written English.
  • • Reading Comprehension skills measure the ability to read and understand academic reading material in English.

How long is the TOEFL ITP® certificate valid?

TOEFL ITP® scores are valid for two years, after you take the test. Because language proficiency can change considerably in a relatively short period of time, scores more than two years old cannot be reported or verified.  (https://www.ets.org/toefl_itp/administration_scoring)
