Berkeley Global Access Fall 2025
The Berkeley Global Access program allows UTEC students to have an academic international experience by studying for one semester at the world's top-ranked public university, University of California, Berkeley. The BGA provides access to innovative classes and the opportunity to study alongside other UC Berkeley students and immerse in a diverse community. Once pre-selected, the participant may submit their application to the Berkeley Global Access Enrollment Application Fall 2025.

Requirements for the Berkeley Global Access Fall 2025:
YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT ALL OF THESE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be a full-time current student at UTEC during all the process |
Applicants must have approved 100 or more UTEC credits |
Applicants must possess a 15.00 GPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) or better. |
You will be required to submit your Transcript of Records; you can download the unofficial version totally free from (EDU system). |
Applicants must possess an excellent level of verbal and written English language. You will be required to submit one of these certificates TOEFL, CAE or Duolingo with the following scores
*Scores are valid only if dated within two years of the application deadline. Your application is not complete without one of these test scores. |
Applicants must possess a valid passport for the duration of their studies abroad or present an evidence of the Passport processing |
Applicant will be required to submit an undocumented Curriculum Vitae in English language (1-2 pages max). |
Applicant will be required to submit one motivation essay in English language addressed to the Internationalization Office (1-2 pages max). |
Request one recommendation letter to a current UTEC professor addressed to the Internationalization Office. The professors will send the recommendation letter to the following email: Exchange@utec.edu.pe with the subject: Recommendation Letter (Students name). |
The following applicants are ineligible:
- Students who are not enrolled as a full-time during all the process and who do not intend to do it the following semester at UTEC;
- Students with one or more serious disciplinary sanctions or suspension and/or academic risk at UTEC;
- Students with outstanding debts at UTEC;
- This program is only addressed to current full-time UTEC students, NOT part-time students, NOT Alumni;
Online Application Form
If you fulfill all the requirements, you are ready to complete the online application form before the deadline, you will be requested to login with your UTEC account, application with personal accounts will not be considered in this process. To successfully submit your application you will be requested to complete all the information and documents of the online application form before the deadline.
Psychological Test
The internationalization team will review each application and verify the status of each student with the academic and administrative areas at UTEC. After this time, the student that has fulfilled all the requirements requested in the online application form will receive a message to his/her UTEC account to take the psychological test, which has an expiration date of 2 working days.
Interview
When the student has completed the psychological test, the internationalization team will have to wait for the results of the test from Bienestar Estudiantil (2 working days) to schedule the online interview.
After the personal interview, the Internationalization Office will contact selected candidates by email with instructions for student's acceptance. Selected students are required to accept or deny the position offered abroad by sending an email.
