Consecutive Master’s Program with École Polytechnique (Fall 2026)

The Consecutive Master Program between UTEC and École Polytechnique allows students to earn both a Bachelor’s degree from UTEC and a Master of Science & Technology from École Polytechnique in a streamlined pathway. Students will complete the first four years of their undergraduate studies at UTEC in Lima, Peru. After applying and being admitted to École Polytechnique, they will spend two additional years in France, completing the Master’s portion of the program.

Please note that this program involves three main cost components:

  1. Tuition fees at the host institution (École Polytechnique).

  2. Living expenses during the stay in the host country.

  3. Credit validation fees at UTEC, according to the current payment scale.

Requirements for the 4+2 program: Master of Science & Technology at École Polytechnique.

TO COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE ENSURE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS ARE MET.

Applicants must be a full-time current student at UTEC during all the process
Applicants must have approved 160 or more UTEC credits + Proyecto Preprofesional Course (RLE)
Applicants must possess a 15.00 GPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) or better. 
You will be required to submit your Transcript of Records; you can download the unofficial version totally free from (EDU system) or request your official transcript records in english to Servicios Academicos.

Applicants must possess an excellent level of verbal and written English language. (TOEFL iBT min. 95 overall score, IELTS (Academic) min. 7.0 overall score, Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) C1 Level.

Applicants must possess a valid passport for the duration of their studies abroad or present an evidence of the Passport processing

Applicant will be required to submit an undocumented Curriculum Vitae in English language (1-2 pages max).
Applicants will be required to submit one letter of intent - which is a brief introduction of themselves and why they would want to study this Master of Science and Technology programme with École Polytechnique (1-2 pages max)

Applicants are required to request two recommendation letters from current UTEC professors. Both letters must be written in English and addressed to École Polytechnique​.

Professors must send the recommendation letters directly to the following email address: exchange@utec.edu.pe, with the subject line:

The following applicants are ineligible: 

  • Students who are not enrolled as a full-time during all the process;
  • Students with one or more serious disciplinary sanctions or suspension and/or academic risk at UTEC;
  • Students with outstanding debts at UTEC;
  • This program is only addressed to current full-time UTEC students, NOT part-time students, NOT Alumni.

 

**Only one half-tuition (tuition-only) scholarship will be awarded by UTEC for one of the Master of Science & Technology Degree programs at École Polytechnique.. The selection for this scholarship will be based on the student’s academic achievements and performance during the interview process. This rigorous evaluation will ensure the recipient is well-suited to represent UTEC at this prestigious institution.

If you fulfill all the requirements, you are ready to complete the online application form before the deadline, you will be requested to login with your UTEC account, application with personal accounts will not be considered in this process. To successfully submit your application you will be requested to complete all the information and documents of the online application form before the deadline.

Psychological Test

The internationalization team will review each application and verify the status of each student with the academic and administrative areas at UTEC. After this time, the student that has fulfilled all the requirements requested in the online application form will receive a message to his/her UTEC account to take the psychological test, which has an expiration date of 2 working days.

Interview

When the student has completed the psychological test, the internationalization team will have to wait for the results of the test from Bienestar Estudiantil (2 working days) to schedule the online interview.

After the personal interview, the Internationalization Office will contact selected candidates by email with instructions for student's acceptance.  Selected students are required to accept or deny the position offered abroad by sending an email.

École Polytechnique Process

École Polytechnique​ Process

UTEC pre-selected students must apply to École Polytechnique following these general requirements:

  • ► Estimated cost of attendance to the MSc&T (subject to annual variation) 
  • ► Admissions application
  • ► Pay an application fee (€90, non-refundable; waived for the five nominated students).
  • ► Application procedure, École Polytechnique requirements:
  • Possess an official institutional document stating that the student has successfully completed a total of 167 or more approved credits, along with a letter from the home university confirming that the student will obtain the Bachelor’s degree before the issuance of the Master’s degree by École Polytechnique.

  • English Proficiency: Proof of English proficiency is required: IELTS (academic) 7, TOEFL iBT 95, Cambridge Advanced Exam C1.

  • French Proficiency: Not required for admission.

  • Additional Requirements: École Polytechnique Paris may request additional documents or criteria depending on the specific master’s program.
