UTEC participates in International Education Fair in India
UTEC was present for the first time at the FICCI 2018 Higher Education Summit and Exhibition, an international conference held in New Delhi, India. Patricia Céspedes, Head of the Office of Internationalization, participated as the only representative of a Peruvian university in the event, along with more than 200 international delegates. This was thanks to an invitation from the Embassy of India in Peru and Bolivia and the Executive Committee of FICCI.
The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (FICCI) articulates to public and private sectors the views and concerns of industry and civil society. One of them is linked to education; therefore, together with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Human Resources Development of India, they organize this symposium every year.
This conference allows UTEC to join the discussion on the challenges that universities face with Education 4.0 and provide perspectives from Peru; as well as opening new opportunities for academic collaboration with Indian universities and promoting our brand and educational model in the world, for the benefit of our students and teachers.
By the year 2030, with almost 140 million people in the college age group, one in four graduates in the world will be a product of India's higher education system. That is why an academic collaboration with India will not only allow our students to expand their international curriculum and develop global competences, but also to prepare them for the future labor market.
